  1. From my newspaper research, the original Highland Park Food Fair closed in 1970, and the current Stop & Shop building opened as a Pantry Pride in March 1971. After Pantry Pride exited NJ in 1978, Foodtown moved into this building - they had previously occupied what is now Rite Aid.
